German and other European Union
All European (EU) nationals are classified as standard applicants. Standard applications are classified as those who meet minimum entry requirements for programmes and are assessed on the basis of education qualifications, i.e. School Leaving Certificate results. Students from Germany need to provide a German School Leaving Certificate (Abutur/ Zeugnis der Allgemein Hochschulreife) with a minimum of 6 subjects (2 with 6 on Intensive subjects and 4 with 4 on Standard subjects). The programme requires a minimum of 4 in Standard level (Abitur) in Mathematics. Applicants also need to have 11 in English at a Standard subject or 9 in English at an Intensive subject.

Submit two letters of recommendation from academic advisors who are familiar with your academic performance. Any letter not written in English must be accompanied by a certified English translation.
- Written/Video essay**
Write an essay of approximately 500 words or record a 2-3 minutes video essay and include it in your application package. This will help the EU Admissions Committee become acquainted with you, see how motivated you are to join us and determine how well you can express yourself. The essay should be on one of the following topics:
- Tell us about the most challenging team experience you have had to date. What role did you play? What did you learn?
- Please describe a personal failure that has impacted on your life and what you learned from it.
- What achievement are you most proud of (studies, sports, professional life, etc.)?
- If you could imagine an entirely different life from the one you lead, how would you want it to be?
- Each of us has been influenced by people, events and situations in our lives. How have these influences shaped who you are today?
To submit your video essay, please follow this link, upload it and insert the email address of the campus of your choice.

If you already have university credits from another institution, you may be able to transfer some of the credits toward a bachelor’s degree program at EU Business School. These credits may allow you to begin your studies at EU at a more advanced stage within the program.
To apply for credit transfer, you will need to provide detailed course descriptions (in English) of any business-related courses you have previously completed. These should be sent with your application form and transcripts.
The following general rules apply to credit transfers at EU:
- Only credits necessary for the completion of a bachelor’s degree at EU will be transferred. EU does not accept transfer credits toward its Master or MBA programs.
- Credit transfer will be reviewed on the basis of the number of ECTS credits already obtained and the level of those ECTS credits. For full time study students will need to be exempt a full stage (60 ECTS).
- Only credits from courses completed within 10 years prior to the date of entry to EU will be transferred.
Credit transfers are considered on an individual basis. For further information on credit transfers please do not hesitate to contact the admissions department.
