Business Bridging Program
Our Business Bridging Program has been specifically designed for students who do not meet the academic requirements of our bachelor’s programs. It provides students with knowledge of the most important areas of business, covering essential theories of economics and management so that candidates can succeed in EU’s three-year bachelor’s programs. Our Business Bridging Program will grant you automatic admission into our bachelor’s programs upon its satisfactory completion (if other admission requirements are met).
Program Structure
The Business Bridging Program (30 ECTS) is a one-semester, 13-week course* that acts as a bridge to the first year of EU’s three-year bachelor’s programs. Over 180 hours of in-person classes, students will strengthen their academic and communication skillset while acquiring fundamental business knowledge. Independent study is also expected.
Students can enroll in the Business Bridging Program at the beginning of any semester. Upon successful completion, students are automatically admitted into the first year of EU’s bachelor's programs.
*Intensive programs are delivered in Summer Semesters I and II. The duration is eight weeks.
Introduction to Business Trends
Show detailsThis course introduces students to the contribution of business to economies and the fundamentals of the business world. It specifically covers how businesses deal with key stakeholders and how businesses manage stakeholder expectations. Last but not least, the course will review the latest trends that are shaping the way businesses are run today and in the future including, but not limited to, sustainability, innovation and the changing technological landscape.

Communication for Business
Show detailsThe ability to communicate effectively in any situation is essential for success. This course provides tools for improving communication skills required by those preparing for a business or management position, as well as developing necessary skills for academic purposes. The course will deal with the theory of communication while at the same time providing practical examples and assignments which will increase confidence in public speaking, concise business writing and improve the ability to communicate effectively in a global context.

Business School Study Skills
Show detailsThis course is designed to prepare students academically prior to the commencement of their bachelor studies. It will equip them with the necessary research-based skills required to embark on a successful academic journey. The course covers the fundamentals of research, how to research, where to research, referencing, and what and how to avoid academic misconduct and plagiarism as well as key writing strategies. Focus will also be placed on academic rigor for both writing and oral communications and assessments.

Critical Thinking Skills

The course will enhance a student’s ability to develop strategies and self-awareness, so that they can approach both information and situations from a critical and analytical perspective. The growth mindset aspect of the course will help a student to take responsibility for their learning.

Introduction to Finance & Economics

The course will equip them with the introductory knowledge required to understand the backbone of a functioning and productive modern economy. The course covers key concepts including time value of money, financial statements analysis and the economic cycle model.
