EU Business School's Bachelor of Arts in Digital Communication (título propio) program prepares students for a full range of functions across industries within the business arena. Students will gain an understanding of current business trends and challenges, preparing them for a successful career in the ever-changing business world.
Program Structure
Option 1: EU Bachelor's Degrees (título propio)
This is a six-semester, three-year program with 210 ECTS. The first year comprises core courses to provide students with a solid base in all fundamental business areas. Specialization subjects are incorporated from the third semester onwards. On successfully completing six semesters, two final case studies and a dissertation, students earn an internationally accredited bachelor’s degree from EU Business School Switzerland and a state-recognized university bachelor's degree from Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM), Spain, (título propio).

Protocol is of vital importance in today’s business, political, and social life - as it lays down a framework of mutual expectation and respect covering different cultures and practices. The course discusses the main rules governing a wide range of activities, from business meetings and diplomatic receptions to charitable or sport events. Attention is paid not only to face-to-face encounters, but also written communications, telephone, email, social and electronic media protocols. Rules may differ from country to country and it’s important to understand their relationship with the underlying business, social and political culture. The theoretical core is supplemented by extensive case study analysis of contemporary protocol history. Public relations analysis is also carried out throughout the course.

The need for negotiation skills arises wherever joint decision-making is necessary. The aim of effective negotiation is to create maximum value in the deal-making process. This practical and experiential course looks at theory and research on negotiation across different scenarios and then puts learning into practice which is later reflected upon. The second part of the course is dedicated to understanding lobbying and its functions within different forms. Students will be able to appreciate the various positives of lobbying, as well as understand the various ethical underpinnings of modern lobbying.

Media Planning
Show detailsIt is often difficult to attract a substantial audience for any one vehicle in the crowded media sector today. Not only are viewers’ media choices more diverse, but the audience is more diverse as well. The media landscape is changing, with new media. This course looks at media effects theory and its implications, the components of a media plan and the negotiation of media packages. Students will learn to identify the most suitable media and advertising strategy and be able to develop a media plan and strategy for different cases and competitive situations in businesses and organizations, developing a deeper understanding about how to build reputations and brands effectively.

Business Immersion Week

Dissertation Seminars
Show detailsThese seminars provide support and information for students during the dissertation process, including the documentation and administrative requirements, and assistance with topic selection, research focus and dissertation proposals.
Final Cases: Business/Specialization
Show detailsAll students must prepare two final cases and successfully defend them before a panel of judges. The first is a general business case and the second is in the student’s specialization subject.
Dissertation
Show detailsThe dissertation component marks the culminating academic requirement for students at all levels and allows them to identify and investigate real world challenges, and to produce an independent piece of academic work reflecting their knowledge, research and analysis.
Option 2: Bachelor's (título propio) + BA (Hons) in Business Management
This is a seven-semester, three-year program with 240 ECTS. The first-year core courses provide students with a solid base in all fundamental business areas. Specialization subjects are incorporated in the third, fourth and fifth semesters. In the third year, students focus on business management to equip them with key managerial concepts, theories and tools necessary for any business field. Upon the successful completion of two final cases and a dissertation, students earn a university-specific bachelor’s degree (título propio) awarded by Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM), Spain, and a Certificate of Specialization in one of the seven majors from EU Business School Switzerland. In addition students are awarded a state-recognized BA (Hons) in Business Management from the University of Derby, U.K. To earn these degree titles, students study in a hybrid learning environment.
As well as opening doors in the business job market, this option is recommended for students wishing to do graduate or post-graduate studies at a public university and/or work in the public sector.

Attention is paid not only to face-to-face encounters, but also written communications, telephone, email, social and electronic media protocols. Rules may differ from country to country and it’s important to understand their relationship with the underlying business, social and political culture. The theoretical core is supplemented by extensive case study analysis of contemporary protocol history. Public relations analysis is also carried out throughout the course.
